Bruce LeClerc Wrote:
This is written to hopefully give you a better vision and a beginning story for Day of Change. C.H.A.N.G.E stands for Christians or Community Having a New Giving Experience.
C.H.A.N.G.E. started with three families collecting their change and giving it to local agencies to help them with their mission of helping those in our community who need it most. From as little as $75.00 to as high as $350.00 were given to over 20 different agencies over a period of 3 years. While the impact financially to these agencies may have been small in amount, each agency was extremely grateful to receive our change and was delighted to tell us more about themselves and how they help those in our community. We (the 3 families) benefited from getting more information about these agencies, but, most importantly, we benefited from the act of giving.
My wife (Lisa) and I have 6 children, ages 3 to 26, and the lessons they've learned from giving to those in need has left a life-long impression on them. We are taking change to a new level of giving for the involvement of the whole community.
Rev. Ruth Lawson, Pastor Dale Bliss and I, as well as all the agencies, are excited and humbled by this opportunity to bring the hands and feet of Christ to our wonderful community. We are hoping Hobby Lobby will be a part of this Event by being a Corporate Sponsor. The details of what you will receive for your sponsorship are in the attached Letter of Sponsorship.
Thank you for consideration for this event and no matter what the response, may God Bless you and all those who you touch.
Sincerely,
Bruce LeClerc
