Many times, people wish to help others, but need to know that the financial need is valid.
Because Howard County is a loving community that works and cooperates together, we have many helping agencies in town, such as the Trustees, and churches who assist.
Many times, referrals can be made and needs are met. However, sometimes, we run into immediate situations that require financial assistance, not under the guidelines or funding abilities of one church or agency. This was the Christmas Family helped though CAM Facebook. Kathy Esslinger, CAM Executive Supervisor, presented the need and several of you responded, within an hour, and a family was rescued from being homeless.
The picture is the inside of the trailer you helped them acquire and a "thank you."The father says, "My youngest (teenage) son said he feels relieved and stress-free now and thanks you every day."
Perhaps this is one of the ways CAM can get the message out of unmet needs we "run into."
With sincere thanks,
Rev. Ruth Lawson & Kathy Esslinger.
We want to give a BIG THANK YOU shout out to everyone and with the local organizations who donated to CAM for Christmas this year! You make the difference and have the heart to make a change!
