The Drop In Center

Clients can sign in to see the Supervisor. First, an intake is done to determine the needs and resources of the Client and a course of action. One question that is asked is "What is your dream". The immediate needs are worked on first and a process to help them reach their dream is started.

The Drop In Center is a day shelter for the homeless and near homeless. We see over one thousand people a year. There is a home like atmosphere as one walks into the Center. The Lobby has comfortable chairs and a TV. A volunteer greets people and answers the phone. The kitchen always has a pot of coffee, drinks and snacks donated by the community.

Through the Supervisor and volunteers the Client is given a "hand up" by helping them access services such at SSI, Medicaid, Medicare, Food Stamps, Mental Health Services and more. When all other services are exhausted CAM helps fill in the gaps whenever possible through community churches and volunteers.

At night, the Drop In Center shelters up to 8 men who have no where else to go.
